PATENTED LAMINATE CONSTRUCTION
Fibreglass, foam, carbon fibre and a protective film make up the exterior; on the inside, the ABS lining and the cross-ply lamination take care of orderliness and overview.

Carbon fibre material is light and stable at the same time and as an integral part of the patented laminate construction keeps the baggage item and its contents together even when subjected to large impinging forces.

The trolley comprises 350 individual parts, and each is an inhouse development. 300 of these are partly patent-protected. These parts are put together in a complex production process, which Swiss Luggage has developed and elaborated together with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and the Engineering College in Burgdorf, Switzerland.
Should a repair become necessary despite unbreakable properties, parts can be easily and immediately replaced.
Not only the 350 individual component parts, even the toolings involved with a total weight of 18 tonnes are all together inhouse developments. A capital investment in time, knowledge and technique, which possess an inherently high imitation prevention barrier.
No matter whether provided with logo and individual inner life or in its purely original form, Swiss Luggage has the know-how, technology and tools to hand for producing carbon fibre baggage up to large volumes.
We have prototypes already in existence for beauty cases and violin cases. Other ‘monocoque’ self-supporting laminate casings are possible to meet the demand for minimum deadweight combined with maximum workload-bearing capacity.
Swiss Luggage has been able to gain experience of this construction material of the future in the areas of medical equipment and precision engineering. Even there, the range is wide open – from the idea through to series production.
